Welcome to Lyndhurst Guest House

Theresa & Joe Miller have run Lyndhurst Guest House for over 23 years, the longest serving landlady and landlord on the island.
The house is a mid Victorian villa built in 1860 and situated in a pleasant location overlooking the bay and within 2 mins walk of Rothesay pier and the promenade. Our location gives spectacular views from most of our rooms across the bay to the Cowal hills and Loch Striven.
Lyndhurst has a warm inviting ambience with a full Scottish breakfast.

We have single, twin, double and family rooms most of which have private showers all with TV and hospitality trays.

Rothesay is a charming town and retains its place as the premier resort on the Firth of Clyde. Your hosts will be pleased to offer advice on the numerous activities to be enjoyed, both in the town and around Bute itself.
Joe is a keen fisherman (and golfer!) and he particularly recommends the fine trout fishing to be had in the area.

Other interests that can be pursued include golf, cycling, horse riding and hill walking. There are also many places of historical interest to be explored around the island.
The regular ferry services make trips to Wemyss Bay and off the north of the island plus in the summer, the paddle steamer Waverley sails to the Kyles of Bute, Tighnabruich, Loch Fyne, Largs, Millport and Arran on a weekly basis.
