Welcome
to our church
Rothesay is the main
town on the Isle of Bute, situated in Scotland's Firth of Clyde.
The church is located in the centre of the town, two minutes from
the main pier.
Trinity Church was founded at the Disruption
in 1843 and is now the result of several unions going back to 1929.
The congregation joined in the union of United Free Church of Scotland
and the Church of Scotland and the name Trinity came into being.
Several other unions have taken place, namely:
- 1938
- with St James Church
- 1942
- with Craigmore High Church
- 1979
- with the West Church

Morning
worship is at 11.00am each Sunday. Evening services are held on
the first Sunday of every month at 6.30pm. Communion is celebrated
on the first Sunday of February, June and November, during the morning
service.
Crèche,
Sunday Schools and Bible Class meet during the service in the church
halls. A Summer Sunday Workshop takes over from these during July
and August and visiting children are made welcome. Fellowship continues
at the Church Café after the service.
The services are enhanced by the varied
music provided by our organist and choirmaster. As well as CH3 we
regularly use Songs of Gods People and Common Ground.
As part of our out reach the morning
service is taped and the tapes are distributed along with a copy
of the weekly pew leaflet to the housebound and elderly throughout
the island.
Transport to the morning service is
provided if necessary.
For those with hearing difficulties
there is an induction loop system in the church
A
WARM WELCOME IS EXTENDED TO ALL
